Way to represent the Pride!!

At midnight the 597th BDE and 832nd BN competed in the Norwegian Armed Forces March at Ft Eustis, VA.
First held in 1915 as a test of marching endurance for soldiers in the Norwegian Military. A strategic goal was to be able to move large units of troops over a great distance swiftly and in a manner that enabled them to be combat ready even after the march. Those who completed a 30km (Roughly 18.6 miles) distance with a backpack load of 11kg/ 25 lbs (dry weight) and completed in the time allocated to age/gender to earn the Marsjmerket, or the Norwegian Armed Forces Marching Badge.

Today for pay day activities 💸 we held MRT and Finance classes for our Soldiers! MRT was taught by LT Anderson and SFC Benavidez and went over Energy Management, Avoiding Thinking Traps, and Detecting Icebergs. The Finance class was taught by Mr. Quick from the Fort Eustis Army Community Service (ACS) center and went over different financial planning strategies.
