Hello, Ladies!!
It’s time for your weekly public service announcement on the Spring Retreat. I could talk about child care and I probably will, but first there’s something more important.
As you’re considering your calendar, please make a commitment to the PWOC Spring Retreat. As you know, the overall theme is marriage and we’ll have Kathi Lipp as our guest speaker. Many of us are in the ‘honeymoon’ stage of redeployment, some are at the front end of a deployment and some are in that lovely lull between deployments. No matter where we are in life or a deployment cycle, we can always work on our marriages. What I’d really like for you to consider today, however, is the underlying theme of the retreat. We can work on our marriages for a long time, but unless we consider working on ourselves, we’ve only done half the job. The underlying theme is….you….and me. Please, please, please make a 5 hour commitment to yourself. Friday, May 4 from 10 until 12 and Saturday, May 5 from 11 until 2.
Having said all of that, here’s the public service announcement. In order to enter into a contract with CYSS, we MUST have a commitment of 25 children needing childcare. If you are already planning to attend the retreat and you know you’ll need childcare, even if it’s only for 1 day, register today! In the event that we don’t meet the CYSS requirements, you’ll be wholly responsible for your own childcare arrangements.
