𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲: Dear Gold Star Families and Friends, I’m writing to share something very personal with those who have walked this journey with me—from the early days of heartbreak to the mission we now share together.

This Memorial Day 2025, twenty years after my son, Corporal George “Tony” Lutz II, was killed in Fallujah, and seventeen years since the public unveiling of the Honor and Remember flag, I’ll be releasing a new book: Tragedy to Tribute.

It has taken years to finally tell the story of how Tony’s loss led to the creation of the Honor and Remember Flag, and how a personal promise to never forget grew into a national movement.
