November marks Month, when we recognize this community for their contributions and sacrifices on behalf of our country.

It’s my honor to introduce you to Adriana Rios and her family from Virginia. Adriana is a human resources specialist with the Social Security Administration, a U.S. Marine Corps spouse, and a mom. She is proud of her husband’s service in uniform and her own public service career working in the federal government. “I joined public service because I wanted to feel part of something greater than myself and to make a difference in my community,” Adriana said of her work. Adriana understands the employment challenges spouses face and encourages other military spouse professionals to take advantage of resources like Military OneSource and Military Spouse Employment Partnership. “I tell military spouses to be proud of who you are and what you’ve achieved. We are flexible and resilient, and that allows us to overcome many obstacles.”

🇺🇸 On November 11th, Veterans Day all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone!

This fee-free day provides a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time. The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
