That is what I am first and foremost which is a writer and author of two books (so far). Being a "self-published" author, no one helped me. I learned everything that I had to learn myself and I made a lot of mistakes along the way. I do not want to see you go through what I did. Th

I promise that if you ask me a question I will do the best to answer it. And I will still share beautiful pictures and also quotes, poetry and stories. Please share my page and stop by often. It's Bill Mauer's birthday today! He would be 125 years old wow!!! That's Bill in the middle with his brother in law Lawrence Larson on the left and his brother Elmer Mauer on the right. They gave rides in their truck around Chicago for 15 cents a ride!

Grandpa joined the army at 17 and they sent him home. He waited a week and ran away and joined again and went to war and was given the Purple Heart when he was shot in France during WW1.

I think his greatest deed ( and there were many) was taking me in when I was a baby and being mother and father to me when my parents couldn't. He taught me to love but respect life. He helped me become grounded most days but when I wasn't with him I was usually in trouble lol!

The picture of us by the tree even though blurry is one of my favorites. We were going to Arlington Race Track and I got to help pick the horses and we won the daily double!!!

He told me that 606 was an important number that I should always remember and be aware of it.....I have to say that he was right. I know when days are harder for me then others 606 will be on the clock, on my paperwork, on a bus in front of me just all over.

He told me the story of the "Moon and the Clouds" and recently reminded me of it through a dear friend and gifted psychic....

"hey Grandpa, it's me Margie and I'm wishing you a Happy Birthday."
