Join us TONIGHT for fun in Flossmoor (and bring a chair)!

After the storm, comes a rainbow! Join with Flossmoor, the Village of Homewood, Illinois and the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District at tonight's Pride Fest, 5-9 p.m.

Bring a lawn chair to enjoy the free concert (as the storm has left the park pretty damp)! Walk or pedal over -- if you drive, you'll find free event parking in the North & South Commuter Lots on the east side of the Flossmoor Road viaduct. Please note: Vardon Place at Western Avenue and the north end of Brassie Avenue up to Flossmoor Road will be closed to traffic beginning at 2 p.m.

Ready to Give Lacrosse a Shot This Summer?

Looking for a new sport to try this summer? Our Intro to Lacrosse Camp is the perfect place to start!

Over three action-packed days, young athletes will learn the fundamentals of one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Campers will practice passing, catching, cradling, scooping, and shooting while building confidence through fun drills, games, and hands-on instruction.

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is working in conjunction with the Homewood Police Department to control after-hours access to Apollo Park. To improve park security, the Park District has funded and installed two new swing gates at the Morgan Street entrance and the 191st Street entrance by the dog park.

The Homewood Police Department will handle the nightly closing and locking of these gates from sundown to sunrise. This new security measure has a tentative start date of Monday, June 15. As a reminder, all district parks are officially closed from dusk to sunrise.

Please ensure your vehicle is out of the parking lots before the gates are locked.
