Today's the day! If you didn't make it out for early voting, the polls are open right now and close at 7pm. This is your last chance to have a say in who shows up on your November ballot and that matters.

Grateful for a day that held all the things:

Quick drop-in at the library, door knocking and conversations at doors, “I do”s of my Godsister, and ended my day with some Juneteenth joy at The Cookout in Lake City.

Where I got to witness a cool drumming circle!

Long day, but totally worth it!

Before a little door knocking G3 and I popped into the library. Growing up this was one of my fave places.

Libraries are lifelines — especially when dependable internet still isn’t a given in rural spots like House District 60.

Growing up without internet makes you see the library differently. I was a kid that grew up without internet at home. The library was my internet. In 2026, too many people in District 60 still have that same story. Our library is where opportunity starts when the connection stops.

It’s not just books. It’s job applications for folks without a computer at home, it’s summer reading programs that keep kids learning, it’s where seniors learn to navigate online forms, and it’s one of the only free, air-conditioned public spaces where anyone can sit and stay as long as they need.

When we talk about resources and infrastructure , the library is often one holding communities together quietly.
