Do you know someone considering a run for public office? Maybe you are wanting to run yourself? We can help you get started and get connected! Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting various offices up for election in 2026 as we lead up our "How to Run for Public Office Candidate Workshop" (Link to Page Can be Found Below). Starting with an office we all know well, Alabama’s 4th Congressional District which is still lacking candidates to take on Robert Aderholt in 2026! The districts have changed in Alabama, and Lauderdale County is now split between the 4th and 5th!
If you or someone you know has been considering taking on this challenge, join us on September 27th for a candidate workshop led by the Alabama Democratic Party Chairs Association covering the ins-and-outs of launching a campaign. This training will cover the documents, deadlines, dos and don’ts of a candidacy for public office. The event begins at 12:30pm to allow time for folks to arrive early and meet potential fellow candidates before we begin the technical talk at 1:00. If you plan on attending, let us know so we can provide you with copies of the documents we will discuss! The link to this event will also be found below!
Additionally, join us September 18th to hear two Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate speak about their campaigns! Let’s show up and let candidates know not to take this corner of the state for granted!
