Janie Paul and our friends at and have co-curated a powerful exhibit coming to the Flint Institute of Arts Graphics Gallery starting on May 30th!

The pieces span nearly 30 years, many of them having been featured in our Annual Exhibition.

"Through drawings, paintings, and sculptures made with simple materials, artists expose the harsh realities of incarceration while imagining life beyond prison. These works reveal a longing for home and family, joy and beauty, connections to nature, flights of the imagination, and journeys toward freedom—acts of creation made despite and in direct response to carceral conditions."

The exhibit will run all summer. Be sure to check it out!
