Home at last!🏡🐾❤️

We're SO proud of Dustain! After the death of his Aunt, Dustain felt hopeless and lost. He lived with her his entire life, and he and his dog, Buddy, had nowhere to turn.

Dustain eventually had to live in a parking lot with his pup, the two of them grieving together. After connecting with our street outreach staff and working hard for months, Dustain finally moved into his new home this week, and Buddy was able to stay with him.🐶🥰

A huge thank you to GM Youth Corps for spending the day with us! 💙

These young superstars started by cleaning up the yard at our administrative office, then visited our shelter to hand out hygiene bags to residents. They also rolled up their sleeves to repair a broken picnic table, helping make our outdoor space safer and more welcoming for everyone 💖😊.

This isn't the first time they've lent a helping hand to our shelter. Thank you, GM Youth Corps, for making a difference!

Help turn a house into a home for our clients.🏡❤️

As individuals and families move into permanent housing, many are still in need of furniture and household essentials. By filling out our HEART survey, we'll reach out to you when a client is ready for move-in and has furnishing needs. If you're able to provide items, you'll deliver them directly to the client's new home, giving them a strong start in this new chapter.

This is Arnold. After losing his wife a few years ago, he lost his hope and housing. In the toughest period of his life, Arnold badly wanted to piece himself back together. That's where our PATH Street Outreach team came in...

He has been working with our team since last June. During that time, he braved the summer, fall, and winter living outside while ALSO trying to get back on his feet.

After much perseverance and patience, he finally moved into his new brand new apartment! It was a long (almost full year) process, and he is thrilled to have heat, water, a kitchen. Congratulations to Arnold and all the hard work it took him to get to this place ♥️.

A big thank you to the Crim Fitness Foundation for teaching children at our shelter fun and engaging food classes! 🍎

While this class has come to an end, we're excited to welcome something new! 🎉 The Crim will be leading 'Rec Connect' once a week. This is a fun, active program focused on physical exercise and wellness for both the children and adults at our shelter. Stay tuned for updates on that programming!

We're so grateful for community partners like them who continue to invest their time, energy, and care into the families we serve.💙💪

We had some star students visit the shelter! 🌟

Some much-needed summer yard cleanup got done thanks to students at Mott Middle College! We are thankful for volunteer groups whose hard work allows our staff to focus on serving our clients. 😊💖

We're always grateful for MMC's support of our shelter, whether through volunteering or helping raise funds for our annual CNOY walk. THANK YOU!
