Yesterday Genesee County 911 staff recognized this fawn tucked in a safe space near their offices. With no mom in sight our deputies learned the fawn was in fact orphaned as its mother was struck by a vehicle. Stepping into action our Deputies worked to find a rescue to take in this baby.

There's never a dull moment on the streets of Genesee County and our Deputies are here to respond no matter what the call.

A big day for I.G.N.I.T.E. University! The expansion to the fifth floor of the Genesee County Jail means more opportunities, more education, and more lives impacted through the power of second chances.
A huge thank you to Randy Houser for helping us celebrate this milestone with a special performance for our inmates and staff. Don't miss him tonight at the Flint Institute of Music Capitol Theatre!

Today, the Office of Genesee County Sheriff celebrated its 4th annual Mental Health Action Day. We are so grateful for Taylor Made Re-Entry and their founder Dee Dee Taylor for continuing to bring this to the Genesee County Jail. With the help of local resources like New Paths, CHAP, Crim Fitness Foundation, Dr. Shan Jackson, and Genesee Health Services, our inmates and staff can feel more confident knowing who to turn to and how to cope with mental health struggles.

Our Paramedic Division participated in training with new LIFEPAK monitors that will be used in the field over the next month. These advanced cardiac monitoring and defibrillation devices help paramedics assess patients and provide critical lifesaving care during medical emergencies. The Office of Genesee County Sheriff is always exploring new technology to enhance our emergency response.
