SUMMER FEEDING 2026 NOTICE

Fleming County Schools will be providing Summer Feeding at 2 sites beginning June 2nd, 2026.

• Registration for Summer Feeding at SMS Site will open on Wednesday, May 20th.
● FCHS will be an open congregate site (children must sit and eat meals on site) from June 2nd– June 4, 2026. Football Camp will participate in meals at FCHS on these dates.

● SMS will be a non-congregate site. Multi-day meals will be handed out in SMS drive through every Wednesday from June 3 to July 29th. July 29th will be our last day handing out meals. You need to register for meal pickup each week at this webpage: https://flemingcountyschools.eventsmart.com/events/fleming-county-2026-summer-feeding-program/

● Put in the number of children in QTY then click on Register Now. There is a copy button checkmark to click to help with registration

● Register children 2 years old – 18 years old

● Make sure there is a valid email address on registration

● Tickets – QR code will come to email. Save to phone device or print out.

● Show QR code (1 per child) when arriving at SMS

● Guardians only need to register ONE TIME for all the dates, every Wednesday from June 3rd – July 29th. There will be 7 days of breakfast and 7 days of lunch in each bag. All food is frozen or shelf stable.

● Children do not have to be with the pick up person but driver must have Ticket/QR code to pick up meals.

If children receive meals at non-congregate site, they cannot receive meals at any other site sponsored by Summer Food Service Program.
Meals are free to any child 18 and under.

We are thrilled to collaborate with Fleming County Schools and Flemingsburg Elementary FRYSC for Summer Reading 2026! Fleming County Schools along with FRYSC will provide bus transportation for children (ages 5 and up) to attend Summer Reading Programs on Tuesdays. Bus routes will be located at in-town apartment complexes. Registration is required for transportation; please click on the link below to register.

May Laugh & Learn is just around the corner at the Extension Office, and we’re getting excited to dig into all things 🌱 PLANTS 🌱
We’ll be exploring how things grow through hands-on activities, stories, and movement that make learning fun and memorable for our little ones.
To make it extra adorable and engaging, invite your kiddos to dress the part! Think tiny gardeners, farmers, or even their favorite flower or plant. Overalls, straw hats, floral outfits, or green from head to toe would be perfect. This will be our last Laugh & Learn until the fall, so we hope you’ll join us for one more fun-filled morning of learning and play!
