Deputy County Attorney Eric Ruchensky attended the 14th Annual Lance Davison Memorial High Country Stand Down at the Arizona State Veterans’ Home in Flagstaff. Eric and the Veterans Treatment Court team helped a veteran pursuing a master’s degree in nursing complete paperwork to set aside an old conviction. Coconino County has issued a proclamation designating May 2026 as Military Appreciation Month. The Coconino County Attorney’s Office is proud to help lead the Veterans Treatment Court and to serve those who have served our country.

The Coconino County Attorney’s Office was proud to participate in the 2026 Northern Arizona Human Trafficking & Child Exploitation Criminal Justice Summit earlier this week in Flagstaff. The summit brought together criminal justice professionals from across Northern Arizona to collaborate on combating human trafficking and child exploitation. Featured presenters included County Attorney Ammon Barker, Chief Criminal Deputy Bryan Shea, and Deputy County Attorney Sasha Charls.

Chief Deputy County Attorney, Michael Tunink, attended the Truckers Against Human Trafficking event in Page with Dianna Kalandros of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and several members of CCSO.

This was a valuable event to learn about trafficking and build relationships to combat this horrible crime. CCAO is committed to partnership within the community to end human trafficking in Coconino County.

Today, the Coconino County Attorney’s Office proudly participated in Law Day 2026 at the Coconino County Superior Court.

Law Day is an annual national celebration of the rule of law and the Constitution. This year’s theme, “The Rule of Law and the American Dream,” highlighted the importance of justice, opportunity, and civic responsibility.

Deputy County Attorney Cailyn Teague and Misdemeanor Legal Assistant Elizabeth Mendoza represented the County Attorney’s Office and enjoyed answering questions from local students throughout the event.
