A New Day in Festus

Today, I am being sworn in as your Ward 3 Councilman. I’ve been thinking a lot about what this moment really means. This moment is about a community that stood up and said, “We want our voice back.”

Over the past several months, I’ve walked our streets, knocked on your doors, stood in your driveways, and listened to your stories. I’ve heard the frustration. I’ve felt the concern. But more than anything, I’ve seen the heart of this city. Good, down-to-earth people. Strong families. Neighbors who care about their town…about their neighbors.

That’s what today is about.

Today is a turning point. A new day in Festus. One where transparency is brought back to the city council chamber. One where the citizens of Festus are heard AND listened to. One where decisions are made the right way…out in the open, with the community in mind.

And I want you to know this, I’m not going anywhere.

You will see me out in the community. You will have access to me. You will have a voice in what happens next. I’ll be hosting monthly town halls at Crites Park so we can keep these conversations going face to face.

I will also be sharing my official contact information once I receive my Festus email. When I do, you’ll have my phone number and email, and I will be available. If you reach out, you will hear back from me within 24-48 hours.

That’s my commitment to you.

Because this moment doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to all of us.

And we’re just getting started.

Let’s get to work!

I’m still trying to find the right words for this.

What we just experienced wasn’t easy. It took time. It took effort. It took people showing up, speaking up, and refusing to be ignored.

And. We. Did. It.

This was a community coming together. Neighbors talking to neighbors. Families stepping out of their comfort zone. People who care about this city deciding they were going to stand up for it.

We overcame a lot to get here.

And I don’t take that lightly.

To everyone who supported me, who walked with me, who encouraged me, who believed in this… thank you. My family and friends have been incredible through all of this, and I wouldn’t be here without them.

I’m grateful. I’m humbled. And I feel the weight of this responsibility.

I’ve heard you. I’ve met you. I know what matters to you.

And I’m ready to go to work for you.

I’m here to listen. I’m here to serve. And I’m here to make sure your voice is heard.

Let’s do this, Festus!

What an incredible journey.

Over the past few weeks, my family and I have spent countless hours and many miles walking the neighborhoods of Ward 3. Knocking on doors. Meeting people. Listening to stories. And I’ll be honest… it’s been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

My wife and kids have been right there with me through all of it along with some great friends who stepped in to help. Their support, their encouragement, their belief in what we’re doing…it means more than I can put into words. This hasn’t just been my journey. It’s been ours.

And the people… the people of Ward 3… you’ve left a mark on me.

I’ve met so many good, hardworking people who care so much about their families, their homes, and this city. People who just want to be heard. People who want to know that their voice matters.

I love this community. I really do.

I love this city. I love Ward 3.

And I believe, with everything in me, that leadership should start with showing up. Listening. Taking the time to understand people, not just making decisions about them.

That’s what this has been about for me.

If I’ve earned your trust, I’d be honored to have your vote.

Let’s stand up for our community. Let’s make sure every voice counts.

I’ll see you, tomorrow.

This Is Our Moment.

I’ve been out walking neighborhoods and talking with people across Ward 3 these past few weeks. Those conversations have stayed with me. But more importantly, the faces of those that I have talked to have stayed with me. I will be accountable to those people that I gave my word to. I will be accountable to the residents of Ward 3. They are placing their trust in me, and I am committed to not letting them down. They are frustrated and ready for change. I’m ready to be part of that change that they are looking for.

I care about this community. This is home. This is where we’re raising our families and living our lives every single day. People deserve to be heard. They deserve to be taken seriously.

I stand with the people of Festus. That includes standing against the data center.

I’m here for you. I’m here to listen. I’m here to stand up for you and make sure your voice actually matters.

I’m not running to sit quietly. I’m running to show up, do the work, and represent this community the right way.

If you’ve felt frustrated, if you’ve felt ignored, I’ve heard you. And I’ve got your back.

Tomorrow is your chance to be heard. On April 7th, you have a choice. I’m asking for your vote.

Let’s get this right.

I’ve spent the last few weeks talking with people all across Ward 3, and I’ll be honest…it’s motivating to hear the concerns of the people. People are frustrated. People are tired of feeling like they’re not being heard. But more than that, people care about their families, this city, and about what comes next.

I’m here. I’m listening. And I will represent the people. Festus isn’t just a place. It’s our home. It’s where we’re raising our kids. It’s where our lives are happening every single day.

And right now, too many people feel like they’ve been pushed to the side. Like their voice doesn’t matter.

That’s not how this should work.

This election is about leadership. It’s about trust. It’s about making sure the people of this community are heard, respected, and taken seriously again.

I’ve built my career working with people. Listening. Solving problems. Navigating hard situations. Doing what’s right, even when it’s not easy. That’s not something I’ll learn on day one. That’s what I already bring.

I’m ready to lead. I’m ready to serve. And I’m ready to stand up for the people of this community.

The people who feel like they’ve been ignored won’t be anymore.

Because this city belongs to you.

And it’s time your voice is heard again.

On April 7, you have a choice.

If you want leadership that will show up, listen, and do things the right way, I’m asking for your vote.

Let’s get this right.

With everything going on lately, I wanted to share a little more about what matters to me.

Before anything else, I’m a husband, a dad, and a man of faith.

My faith guides how I live, how I treat others, and how I make decisions. It reminds me that we’re here to serve, to care for others, and to stand up for others when it’s needed.

This is home for me. This is where I’m building a life with my wife and raising our family. Weeknights at home, running kids to activities, sitting around the dinner table, talking with neighbors… this is our life. The community of Festus is home to us. I care deeply about the people here. I really do.

I’ve spent years working in leadership and human resources. This has blessed me with a ton of experience working with people every day. Listening. Navigating hard situations. Making sure things are handled the right way. Being fair. Being honest. Doing what’s right even when it’s not easy. I’ve seen what happens when people feel like they don’t have a voice.

I’ve heard it over and over again from my neighbors and those in Ward 3 these past few weeks. People feel ignored. Like they’ve been pushed aside. Like what they say doesn’t matter.

If elected as Ward 3 City Councilman, I will bring non biased leadership. I know how to work with people, bring them together, and make sure voices are heard. The people who feel like they’ve been silenced, won’t be anymore.

It’s time to change things.

On April 7th, you have a choice.

If you want leadership that cares and that will stand with you, I’m asking for your vote.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. We the people have shown up to speak because we care about what’s happening here. And it feels like we are not being heard and what we have to say doesn’t matter. That shouldn’t happen. The public servants of our city should not make the constituents feel that way.

This city belongs to the people who live here. Our voices should be heard. Our concerns should be taken seriously. What we say should actually shape the decisions being made.

I’m here for the long haul. I won’t just sit there and nod and move on. I’m talking about actually listening, responding, and doing something with what you say. When I serve on the council, you’ll hear back from me. You won’t be left wondering if anyone is paying attention.

Today, I want to hear from you. What do you want for Festus? What’s been bothering you? What do you want to see change? What do you want this place to look like moving forward?

You’ve heard enough from candidates. I want to hear from you.

Drop it in the comments.

April 7 is when your voice can truly be heard. If you want someone on the council who will listen and stand with you, I’d be honored to earn your support.

We Will Not Be Ignored

The data center agreement was approved last night, and a lot of people walked away feeling like their voices weren’t heard.

That’s what sticks with me. Right now, too many people feel like they’re on the outside of how decisions are being made in this city.

That’s not the direction we should be heading. This doesn’t stop here. The way things are handled now will shape what comes next.

And I believe Festus can do better than that.

This is a community full of people who care. Families who have built their lives here. Neighbors who want to be heard and respected.

That should be at the very least the absolute standard.

This election is so important. For so many reasons. Especially here in Ward 3.

We have an opportunity right now to move things in a better direction and bring the focus back where it belongs.

I’m here. I’m listening. And I’m ready to lead.

If you feel the same way, now is the time.

April 7 is more than a date. It’s the day we take our city back.

Momentum is building.

As I’ve been out talking with people across Ward 3, you can feel it. The conversations have been real, honest, and encouraging. People care about this city, and they’re paying attention to what comes next.

And what I keep hearing is this… this election is about more than just one issue.

It’s about leadership. It’s about trust. It’s about making sure we’re getting the basics right and moving Festus forward the right way on all fronts.

That’s what I’m ready for.

I’m ready to lead. I’m ready to serve. And I’m ready to tackle the challenges in front of this city with steady, focused leadership.

The support I’m seeing right now means a lot. You can feel the momentum growing, and it’s coming from people who want to see Festus move forward the right way.

Let’s keep it going.

Talk to your neighbors. Stay engaged. Share this page. And even if you don’t live in Festus, share it anyway you never know who you might reach.

We’ve got something strong building here.

Let’s carry it all the way through April 7.

This Data Center Does Not Belong in Festus

Festus is people. It’s families. It’s neighborhoods. And that’s what makes this place feel like home.

That’s why this matters.

What’s being proposed isn’t just another building project. It would change our community in ways that don’t fit who we are. It impacts our water, our infrastructure, and will drive up costs like electricity while putting pressure on home values.

And for some families, this is not theoretical. Their lives are being directly disrupted. They’re being put in a position where they may have to leave homes they never planned to leave.

Offering 10% above a 2025 market value is not reasonable. It’s not enough, and it doesn’t even come close to what it actually costs to start over. It leaves families trying to recover from something they didn’t choose.

That’s not right.

We have a duty to protect this community on every level.

I’m not against growth. But this is not the right kind of growth, and it’s not being done the right way.

People have been left out of the process, and families are being asked to carry the burden of decisions they didn’t make.

If development impacts our community, the priority should be clear: take care of the people first.

This data center does not belong here.

Festus is not for sale.

I’m here to protect the people of this community and stand up for what’s right.

Monday night meant something.

I stood there alongside many of you, and what I saw wasn’t just a meeting. It was a community showing up. Speaking up. Refusing to be overlooked.

This isn’t about being against the growth of our town. We all understand the importance of a strong economic future for Festus. But growth should never come at the expense of the very people who call this place home.

There is too much at stake.

Homes. Families. The character of our community.

This is our moment, Festus.
Our moment to stand together.
Our moment to make it clear that people come first.

I’m running because I believe leadership means standing up for those who feel unheard. It means protecting what matters most and making sure no one is treated as the price of progress.

Festus is worth that.
And our people are worth that.

Let’s show up. Let’s stand firm. Let’s make it count.

Festus residents in opposition to plans for a hyper-scale data center continued to voice their concerns before the city council. The Monday meeting was moved to Festus High School to accommodate th…
