Conducted 2-boat training today for upcoming QE’s. Beautiful, but hot day in the water, with storms approaching later. Both boats returned to base before the storms hit, and it was productive day! U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary

Today, the United States Coast Guard joins the entire Nation in honoring the brave men and women across all branches of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Whether on land, at sea, in the air, or in space, those who gave their lives in defense of our freedoms share a unified legacy of courage, service, and devotion. On this Memorial Day, we remember our fallen heroes in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

We stand with their families, loved ones, and communities today and always. The weight of their sacrifice spans across every branch, and their memories will never be forgotten.

Semper Paratus.

Headed to the beach…please pay attention the rip current advisories, and grab a life jacket before you put your toes in the sand. All that is required is that you return them to the kiosks at the end of your day at the beach.

While on a USCG AUX patrol last Saturday, we recovered a life jacket from the water that belonged to a paddler. She did not know she had lost her PFD, so it was great to return it. In addition, both of the paddlers donned their PFD’s afterwards. Always wear your life jackets while enjoying any paddle craft…they only work if you wear them.
