We've seen a lot of neat layouts, both modular and permanent! One of our favorites is the Webster Groves & Fenton (even though it's not N scale). One of the features of the layout is an expansive lower level staging, which is accessed via a single loop helix. Does your layout have lower level staging?

Railroad graffiti is a very controversial subject, but it certainly has produced some amazing artwork and made the freight cars a bit more colorful. We're looking forward to seeing this!

Opaque Collective presents two exhibitions: Steel Wheels in the gallery space and United Freights of America in the shop space. Together, they trace the living histories of more than 350 graffiti writers and the vehicle that connects them: the freight train. Both exhibitions will open Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6–9 p.m. at Opaque Collective, 7401 S. Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63111 and will be on view through September 20, 2026.
