Pike County Schools Athletic Updates for the 2026-2027 school year. The district has added a set of bylaws for Middle School Sports. Here are some of the key points that everyone should know.

* All students must have a physical and proof of insurance
* Must be enrolled in school or the Pike County Virtual Academy

* Archery - those planning to be a member of a archery team must be enrolled at the school in which they plan to participate. (Per Lisa Johnson - KYNASP)

* Transfers - Any student that is rostered and participates in the first game and then transfers to another school in ineligible for the remainder of that season including tournaments. The only exception is if the student has a bona fide change of address to the school in which they will be attending may retain their eligibility.

* If a school does not offer a sport, they may play for another school within their high school feeder school pattern. (Kimper, JC, and Mullins) is our pattern.

* There are some coaches requirements that I will send our to you guys on Parent Square in a group message.

* Communication shall be on Parent Square or school email only. Any other communication is prohibited. There shall be no Facebook groups or messaging taking place.

If you desire to see a copy of the bylaws, you may contact me to schedule a time to review the document.

Thank you.

📣 Football Equipment & Uniform Turn-In Reminder 🏈

Attention Parents and Student-Athletes:
If you still have any football uniforms or equipment that should have been turned in, please return them as soon as possible to the front office at Mullins, Johns Creek, or Kimper.

We are asking for the return of all school-issued equipment, including:
• Helmets
• Jerseys
• Shoulder Pads
• Football Pants
• Girdles
• Knee Pads
• Practice Gear
• Any other football equipment issued by the program

Football equipment is very expensive, and it takes a tremendous amount of resources to operate a successful program. We currently have a significant amount of equipment that has not been returned, and we need to recover as much of it as possible to help prepare for future seasons.

We are also accepting donations of football equipment. If your student has outgrown or no longer uses their personal equipment, we would be grateful for donations of:
• Helmets
• Shoulder Pads
• Cleats
• Other football gear in good condition

Many families face financial challenges, and donated equipment can help ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate in our football program. If you have cleats taking up space at home, please consider donating them so they can benefit another young athlete.

Thank you for your support and cooperation. Together, we can continue providing opportunities for our student-athletes while being good stewards of our resources.
Thank you, and God bless!
