I’m not the same person I was 14 months ago. Things that I was “ride or die” about, mean very little to me now. I have lost interest in a lot of projects and interests. It’s not that I can’t do them, it’s that I don’t want to do them without Rick. Losing your spouse changes your life completely. It is time to let some things go and try to figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life.
In the next few months, I will be downsizing both mine and Rick’s personal assets. I will be auctioning off/marketplace some items from my store (furniture, wall décor, sporting goods, tools, etc.), some of our personal items (Vinyl, Vinyl cutter, Tonka Trucks, Dartboard from the American Legion, Tool boxes, Arcade table, Motorcycle helmets with Bluetooth, Scaffolding, Outdoor Heaters, Etc), items that I have been collecting for the banquet room that I was planning on opening (100+ piece Plate sets, cups, glasses, stemware, floral, centerpieces, columns, wedding décor, etc), items form Olive Branch church (windows, candelabras, pews, pulpit, woodwork, etc), and some of Rick’s guns. I will only be selling a few things on Marketplace, and I will share those listings once I get them in order. Please don’t ask for a price for stuff before it goes to auction. I will not be selling it like that. You will have to bid!! I will also entertaining offers for the Gas Station, the Martin St lot, and the rental house. I already have people interested in all of these but will advertise if we can’t agree on a price. I have already listed the 5th Wheel camper and a few cars and tow trucks. I will also be selling my minivan and truck (not Rick’s). There is probably some other stuff I forgot.
I will NOT be selling any other properties!!
I am not doing this because I need money. I’m doing it because I don’t need all this stuff!!! It is true that Rick has a few bills against his estate, but it is not anything that I can’t handle. I have a couple of new business interests, and I still plan to tour Europe by train and that ain’t cheap!! And I also want a cow, so I’m going to have to move to the country because cows aren’t allowed in town. Not that I need a barn because he is going to live inside the house with me!

The old church survived another winter. Minus one stained glass pane. Hopefully new roof going on this spring.

So excited!!!! I found the missing doors behind some paneling! They have a little nail damage and they cut the bottom panel off so they would fit but they are still here!!!!

This week's projects. Removed paneling. I thought the green plaster was original but I realized that the original had been skimmed over, probably 50-60+ years ago. Also found that one of the doorways had been shortened. I wish the original tall 9 panel door was still here. And, I knew there used to be entry doors on the north and west corner. I was hoping to find the west door behind the paneling but it has also been skimmed over many years ago. There was plenty of aluminum foil, maybe moisture barrier? Maybe I will dig deeper another day to see what's back there. I was very excited to find a stained glass window in the entry way! Thankfully still intact!

Sorry no updates in a while. I've been working on some other projects.
I'm feeling really discouraged at the moment. 2/4 roofers want outrageous prices to install metal roof. Other 2 never got me a quote. So far no painting quotes. The tree service we hired to trim the tree (higher than Rick can reach) never came to do the job so the raccoons are back in. The stupid shiney paint in the basement is invincible and won't come off and new paint won't stick. Basement windows still need installed because the cardboard covering it now just ain't working. I don't know what I'm going to do. I can't do all this work myself. Oh and the alarm system, SimpliSafe, keeps going off for no reason.

I'm gonna call this one Rerun, I think we've met before. I need to trim that tree back farther and put new screens in the vents sooner than later.
