Looking for a meaningful way to build independence and life skills this summer?

GiGi’s Achievers is a purposeful, application-based program designed to support adults (18+) with Down syndrome in:
✨ Communication
✨ Independence
✨ Goal setting
✨ Life skills

Wednesdays | 12:00–3:00 PM

Participants will work on real-life skills in a supportive, structured environment—while also building confidence and friendships along the way.

Last month, our Executive Director Kira had the opportunity to attend the ABLE Games at Davies High School in South Fargo—and what an incredible day it was! 💛

Alongside other community leaders, including Fargo Public Schools Superintendent, Kira served as a judge for the games and proudly represented GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo.

The ABLE Games are such a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, encouragement, and celebrating every individual’s abilities. We loved seeing students supported, cheered on, and given the opportunity to shine.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success and for continuing to create spaces where all individuals are valued and celebrated.

What an incredible Drive to Donate event! Because of the generosity of Valvoline Instant Oil Change and everyone who chose to get their oil changed and give back, $1,240 was raised!

That support goes directly toward keeping our programs 100% free for individuals with Down syndrome and their families—fueling confidence, connection, skill-building, and life-changing opportunities at the Playhouse.

We love celebrating “Best of All” moments at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo—and Alex had a great one during Achievers this week. 💛

With a few substitute volunteers joining the program, our usual routine looked a little different. After talking about healthy food choices, journaling, and making a snack together, there was some extra time left before the program ended.

Without hesitation, Alex took the initiative to head to the gym, grab a ball, and come back ready with an idea. He taught the group a new game where participants rolled the ball to one another while sharing favorite things and remembering everyone else’s answers along the way.

Not only was it fun, but it also worked on memory, coordination, communication, and connection. Most importantly, it showed leadership.

Watching Alex step up, guide the group, and create such a joyful moment for everyone was truly a Best of All moment. Way to go, Alex! 👏
