Nevada's promise cycle: w**d taxes were going to fund schools. The Raiders stadium was going to bring jobs and prosperity. Now it's data centers.

Lombardo's "wholeheartedly in support" same pitch as always while the state's approved $457M in abatements on promises of ~300 jobs and $1B in tax revenue, and nobody's even tracking if it's real.

Same script, new industry.

Nevada's AI data center boom is colliding with reality.

Near Reno: a developer wants two private gas plants that could power 400,000 homes while dodging the state's renewable energy law.

Near Boulder City: a judge just halted a data center on public land, ruling federal regulators skipped a real environmental review.

Same fight, two fronts. Read both stories 👇

🚨 Churchill County residents: The Planning Commission has scheduled a public discussion about proposed data center regulations for Wednesday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at 155 N. Taylor Street. The county’s own packet also states that one data center application is already pending, although it does not identify the applicant, location, or application.

Staff is recommending that the commission discuss, postpone, and revise the proposed regulations, so they may or may not move forward that night—but time has been scheduled for this conversation. If you have asked for transparency and public input regarding data centers and large industrial development, this is your opportunity to show up, listen, ask questions, and make your voice part of the record.

Written comments may be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected] by 4:30 p.m. September 8. If you want a voice in what happens here, advocate now—otherwise, be prepared to live with what is decided.

Nevada isn't just casinos and desert highways, it's OURS. Over 80% of our state is public land. Our mountains, our canyons, our hunting grounds, our kids' backyard.

Public lands built this state. Don't let anyone sell off what belongs to all of us.

We only have until September 20 to make our voices heard. Submit your public comment NOW, don't sit this one out.

I’m calling to express my concern about the Trump administration’s mismanagement, destruction, and sale of our public lands. I ask that [REPRESENTATIVE]…

[CHOOSE 1-3 of the following]:

oppose the sale of our national parks, include sections of Yosemite National Park, to private real estate developers; (and)
oppose the reorganization of the U.S. Forest Service, which will weaken the agency’s ability to protect our national forests; (and)
repeal the H.R. 1 provisions that have supercharged the sale of our public lands to oil and gas companies; (and)
oppose the repeal of regulations that protect our lands and wildlife from mining, drilling, and logging.

[OPTIONAL: Add a personal story about why public lands are important to you]

They did it in Independence, MO.

Voters there just recalled a council member who sold them out for a $6 billion AI data center deal, 68% to 32%. A landslide.

It started with regular people showing up and speaking up. It ended with real accountability.

If they can do it, so can we

Governor Lombardo keeps opening his mouth to prove how out of touch and incompetent he is. A vote for him is one for billionaires, p**o protection, data centers, and the elite. NV deserves better.
