In February 2026, Fairview Fire Rescue proudly earned the designation of Recognized Best Practices Fire Department from the Texas Fire Chiefs Association—a significant achievement that highlights the department’s commitment to excellence, accountability, and high-quality service.
The Best Practices Recognition Program evaluates fire departments against 117 established standards designed to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of emergency services. These standards encompass every facet of fire department operations, including administration, emergency medical services, training, fire suppression, prevention, risk reduction, communications, safety, and community outreach. Earning this designation demonstrates that Fairview Fire Rescue meets or exceeds these rigorous benchmarks and operates according to proven, industry-leading practices.
This recognition is the result of a comprehensive and voluntary process. Members of Fairview Fire Rescue conducted an in-depth self-assessment of policies, procedures, facilities, and daily operations. This effort ensured that best practices were not only in place, but also clearly documented and consistently followed. The department then underwent a detailed external audit conducted by experienced fire service leaders from across Texas, with final approval granted by the Best Practices Recognition Board.
For the citizens of Fairview, this designation provides confidence that your fire department is dedicated to continuous improvement, transparency, and preparedness. It reflects the professionalism and dedication of Fairview Fire Rescue personnel, as well as the strong support of the community they serve.
