It’s a beautiful day to be outside! ☀️

We’re officially on the lookout to "catch" kids wearing their helmets! If we see you practicing great safety habits while riding your bike, scooter, or skates, you might just get a surprise.

Huge thanks to Clerc Family McDonald's
for teaming up with us! 🤝 We’ll be handing out coupons for a FREE soft serve cone to our safe riders. 🍦

Details:
📍 Redeemable at 2217 N State Street, Fairmont.
🚲 Wear your helmet + get "caught" = Free ice cream!

Parents: before the ride, have the conversation. 🛴⚡
Talk to your kids about e-bike and e-scooter safety, helmets, traffic laws, and making sure they’re following all statutory requirements. A safe ride starts with informed riders.

There is a temporary 30mph speed limit on Lake Ave. until the construction is completed. Please spread the word so we can keep everyone safe!

03/16/2026

Until the wind subsides and the plows go back out, travel on roads that lead out of Fairmont is not possible due to snow drifts in the road and poor to zero visibility. This includes Woodland Avenue, Lair Road and Lake Avenue, as well as Highway 15 and several intersections in town. Please do not travel during the overnight hours tonight. We may not be able to get to you if you get stuck. Thank you. Fairmont Police Department.
