The Fairhope Library’s storywalk was an idea developed by former children’s librarian Julia Gray. During the lockdown of the pandemic, she led this project in order to make reading accessible to patrons without having to come into the library.

Unfortunately, Julia passed away earlier this year. She inspired so many children and families during her time working at the library, and her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her. Next time you find yourself outside the library, take a visit to the storywalk that we have dedicated in honor of her.
