It’s the last day of school for students, but three Compass Elementary 4th graders came to the school board meeting to show off the recorder playing and composing skills they learned in Mrs. O’s (Idil Oguz) music class. They created variations of songs they already knew using 16 beats. The other requirement was to dedicate the song (this recognition went to family members). Well done to student performers Phoenix Veasley, Eve Rion, and Gavin Vogt, and thanks to Mrs. O for connecting her students to a different way to learn music!
