Good morning! It’s been a couple of weeks, but we just wanted to pop on and say that we’re still here, and that there hasn’t been much change in the ratings. Currently, our highest rated landlord is Don Hoelting, and our lowest is Don Davis. We’re up to nearly 150 submissions total, and several are very close to joining our “most reviewed” list.

Not much to report this week. A few more submissions and a new landlord on our most reviewed list. One interesting thing to note: if we just look at the data from our most reviewed, Fairfield as a whole has a score of 5.26/10. Definitely room for improvement!

***new/updated landlord reviews for the week of 9/3/23***

News: We are now only publishing landlord scorecards for whom we have received at least 3 reviews. That being said, we have so many landlords in our system with only one or two reviews. Their names are listed below, and we encourage you to submit a review if you’ve rented from them before.
Also, we’ve received some veiled and not so veiled threats. This is why we value anonymity. The reviews posted do not reflect the views or opinions of Fairfield Iowa Landlord Reviews. We collect and publish the opinions of individual renters, and only publish information about landlords that is publicly available. Any kind of threat towards us or the renters who submit reviews will result in the loss of access to our system. We appreciate everyone’s feedback, and we’ll keep working to improve this system!

Hey Fairfield!
We’ve received almost 100 reviews and more are coming in. Many have expressed gratitude, but also concern about this new system. As a result, we have changed the submission form in the following ways:

*name of the tenant is required

*address of the rented property is required

*approximate length of residency is required

Though these items are required for the submission to be approved, they will never be published, and are not accessible to anyone who is not affiliated with Fairfield Iowa Landlord Reviews.
We appreciate the submissions and constructive feedback. We look forward to continuing the effort to ensure that Fairfield can reach and maintain a high standard of housing at reasonable rates!

Our first batch of landlord reviews are now available! Each landlord is evaluated based on four qualities:

1) Cost vs. Quality
2) Timeliness of maintenance
3) Communication
4) Respect of legal/social boundaries

The scores are added and averaged to provide the overall score. Note that each of the included scores are based on a single review each. If you’ve rented from any of these landlords, please leave a review at the link below so our review system can be more accurate.

Welcome to Fairfield Iowa Landlord Reviews! A space for objective reviews and a platform to share experiences, both positive and negative.

A few ground rules:

1) All reviews are to be submitted through the Google Doc link below. The reviews will then be posted here anonymously by the page admin.

2) Intentional slander is absolutely forbidden. Any instances of this will result in a permanent ban.

3) Dates and pictures are very valuable. Submissions with inadequate information/evidence will not be approved.

The goal of this page is to improve Fairfield’s quality of housing by holding property owners accountable. We believe we can do so by making our experiences public and communicating with each other.
