So I received a screenshot of a letter from Karlos Dansby of Dansby foods, basically saying that I had nothing to do with recruitment of his company to Fairfield. While I certainly disappointed in his decision to take such an obvious political position seemingly in favor of certain candidates, I do not want to have a back and forth regarding who did what in the City or more particularly what my efforts brought. However I must respond to certain statements contained in the aforementioned letter. Mr. Dansby claims that I never “recruited” his company to Fairfield for the grocery store but that they were “introduced” by a business associate. Whatever way he wants to characterize our several meetings property tours etc. I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves. And keep in mind that I had never heard of Mr. Dansby or his partner Teddy both of whom pictured below (Teddy is the bald headed gentlemen and Mr. Dansby is the other big guy) so what do y’all think I was doing showing them the WalMart building and other properties which he clearly admits to in his letter. I would also add that no, the grocery store was not considered for the Walmart building the but instead the old Winn Dixie building was and the WalMart for a family entertainment center. But as I said why else are they all at my parents house with my real blood family. I mean if you look at the picture with the wine bottles in it you can see that I was really trying to wine and dine these guys to come to Fairfield. The relationship only broke after I was usurped from office. Anyhow, please prayerfully make your own decisions and judgement regarding my character versus other candidates when you vote tomorrow, August 25th And remember “it about the people, not the politics. God Bless.

Mr. Wyatt's reaction at the candidates forum when confronted about his lawsuit - September 26, 2016

Powerful singing by Sis. Handley at Greater Lilly Star on last week. I had a blessed time.

As much as I hate to say it, these are acts of a desperate man. Johnnie Wyatt has filed a lawsuit simply to try to take away votes in the upcoming run-off election on October 4th. He knows that he cannot win against me by fair means and focusing on the real issues facing the City of Fairfield. If Mr. Wyatt was truly convinced that I hadn’t established my residency and that I should be disqualified from the run-off election, then on yesterday he would have gone forward with the trial on September 27th date offered to us by the court (to which I agreed). Instead however he told the court that he had something else to do on the 27th and asked the court to continue the case to October 17th, which is 13 days after the very run-off election he sued me to be disqualified from. So it is evident that the real reason he filed this action was so that he could publish the lawsuit with the media to try to damage my character. I guess he got tired of putting flyers out by hand but instead chose to do it with the media and courts. The fact of the matter is that I am a resident and native and have not been disqualified from the election and my name will be on the ballet on October 4th. I hope to continue to have your support so that we may move this City forward.
