Hey everyone my name is Mikey and the reason for creating this league was to combine two of the things I'm most passionate about; my community and basketball. As a born and raised in Everett product living in a low-income neighborhood I have found value and importance in giving back to those in need and giving them an outlet to teach them life skills. Activities ranging from playing ping-pong with

the kids at the Boys and Girls club to teaching algrebra to high school students. I have partnered with many local businesses (Arete Fitness, Everett Track Club, Rage Cage). The main partnership I've established has been with the Boys and Girls Club. I've met many friends and role models through their services. I've also had the pleasure of mentoring many youths myself as a program aid and teen director. All amazing experiences to lead me to the person I am today. Those things have been priceless to me and to show my appreciation I play to donate items from their wish-list with the profits made from this league. Hopefully this program can grow into something really big in order to unite the community even more!
