Faces of Evansville Waterways
Follow us on Tuesdays to see the faces of Evansville's wild residents that appreciate all you do to keep their home and drinking water clean. Enjoy the views, and strive every day to do a little better for the faces we share space with! Today's faces are mallards enjoying the cool water of a retention pond. Earlier this year, the pond had abnormal algal growth. Caretakers worked to change lawn care practices and the pond is now free of excess algae making the water safer for its inhabitants and visitors. Keep up the good work Evansville!

This creek feeds into Pigeon Creek and is home to hundreds of fish and other wildlife. Simple acts like proper waste disposal can help keep these habitats safe for the animals that use them (including us)!
