Faces of Evansville Waterways
Follow us on Tuesdays to see the faces of Evansville's wild residents that appreciate all you do to keep their home and drinking water clean. Enjoy the views, and strive every day to do a little better for the faces we share space with! Today's face is a snapping turtle hatchlings found in Stockfleith Ditch near Vogel Rd and Fairfield Dr. While doing inspections on the South side of Vogel, a snapping turtle hatchling was found fishing for minnows. It's great to see young like animals thriving in an urban ditch that help the city shed water from the streets. Remember to dispose of waste responsibly to keep these waterways healthy.
