Join us tomorrow for at The Daily Grind

June is National Safety Month, and we're inviting the community to stop by for coffee and conversation with members of the Evansville Police Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana Department of Natural Resources and Evansville Fire Department.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions, discuss community concerns, and pick up valuable safety tips from local law enforcement officers, deputies, and firefighters. Whether you're interested in crime prevention, fire safety, personal safety, or simply learning more about the services available in our community, we're happy to talk.

We look forward to sharing a cup of coffee, answering your questions, and helping make our community a safer place for everyone.

Today, on International Firefighters’ Day, we recognize the dedication and service of our firefighters and those serving communities everywhere.

To our members: thank you for the pride you take in this job and the way you serve Evansville each day.

How cool is this?!

I got a text from my former co-anchor letting me know we were both finalists for the Society of Professional Journalists “2025 Best in Indiana Journalism Awards.” I had no idea my story was even nominated but when I saw it was storm coverage, I couldn’t help but smile.

Some of the most meaningful stories I’ve ever told and the relationships that have stayed with me came from covering people in the middle of the worst moments of their lives. Those stories never leave you.

Journalism & storytelling will always hold a special place in my heart, & I hope the good ones keep pushing forward and doing it the right way.
And congratulations to my bestie, Hannah Haerle News...you deserve all the flowers! 💐
