Just wanted to say a big thank you for a great last day before Winter Break. We had lots of fun and festive activities, and even made a gift for our parents.

Thanks to our students and parents who gave extra thought to us this year. We are lucky teachers to be loved by so many!

Happy Friday! We had an exciting day in Fifth Grade. We are working on comparing and contrasting in reading, so we had the opportunity to watch Where the Wild Things Are. In the afternoon, we took some time after library to take some great pictures of the class.

As most of you know Lane Goodwin is a 13 year old boy in the Tri-State area with cancer. His wish to have 100,000 likes on facebook is quickly becoming a possibility. There have been people from all over the world contributing to Thumbs Up for Lane. Today we showed our Eagle pride by supporting Lane too. What a great group of kids we have here at Daniel Wertz!

Welcome! I know some of you have had problems finding us, but I made some changes to our name so hopefully you found us.

Our year has started off amazing, and Mrs. Smith and I are really looking forward to everything that the year brings. We have already started working hard in every subject. We have been studying the regions, place value, and getting back in the groove with Reader's Workshop. Hope to hear from some of you soon!
