June 7, 2022 is Election Day and I hope to win the Elected Position of the Clerk/Recorder and Registrar of Voters. For those who do not already know, I have been working at the Clerk Recorder’s Office for 2.5 years. I am a Senior Recordable Document Examiner, but am also a Clerk – those duties include Filing Fictitious Business Statements, CEQA documents, Notary Oaths and Vital Records. The Record
er’s office is actually 3 offices in one. I have also been able to work in the Elections office during the last 2 major elections and have learned about the procedures and processes that office entails. My work at the Title Company for 17 years educated me on the Real Estate and Title history required to understand documents, as well as provide the public with great service. In 2000 I earned my Survey Certificate and became an assistant to an Engineer/Surveyor, where I gained experience in the field and creating Maps. I grew up on a Cattle Ranch in Humboldt County, my roots are deep here and my passion for the historical records grows as time passes. The Recorder’s Office holds all these records and it is my pleasure to help homeowners and the public learn how to do the research. I am new to the campaign trail and will be doing a lot of research. If you have suggestions or advice, I am all ears. I plan to run this election to the best of my ability as I will do in the Office of Recorder. I have grown a network of professional colleagues to seek advice from and there are laws to follow, so I believe the parameters are set.
