Responsibilities:
Giving the Tour:
Greeting and welcoming customers to the tour and giving the tour 2-4 days a week.
Making sure that our tours are entertaining, informational, and memorable. Effectively and accurately presents tour information consistent with the script.
Exceptional presentation skills with a proven track record of addressing groups of 20 or more.
Maintenance:
Maintaining the Underground Center - managing and recommending maintenance as needed.
About the Role:
Works well with other guides.
Maintains knowledge of Eureka Springs and can provide visitor information services as needed.
Excellent customer service and/or hospitality skills.
Personable, outgoing, and enthusiastic.
Flexible and adaptable.
Capable of learning new material rapidly and willing to spend time and expend the effort necessary to study historical material on Eureka Springs.
Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and with diverse groups.
Prior experience as a tour guide is advantageous.
Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods in all weather.
Adherence to prescribed safety codes.
Excellent conversational skills with a knack for storytelling.
Personable, humorous disposition.
Outstanding organizational, time management, and improvisational skills.
Ability to work during evenings and on weekends.
