Update on two Petitions (Recall Vote and Council):

- The Chicot County Courthouse closed early for lunch yesterday. Therefore I was not able to have the petition for a recall vote filed by 12 noon.

- Only 29 out of 38 signatures were valid on my petition to run for Council in Ward 1. (I missed qualifications by 1 valid signature.) Therefore I will not be on the ballot to run for Council on November 05, 2024.

Thanks to all of you who supported the causes with signatures and 'boots on the ground' actions.

⚠️This page is no longer being managed as the Eudora City Clerk-Treasurer page.⚠️

I, NaTarsha Harris, am still managing this page but not as the City's Clerk-Treasurer because I have resigned from that position.

Does anyone know how I can change the name on the page? I tried changing it through my main account but the page is not showing up on the list in the Account Center.

We need DIVERSITY to properly represent all of the citizens in the City of Eudora. We need different races and ages of people to run for Council. If you're interested in becoming a Councilmember or the City Clerk-Treasurer, go pick up a petition. All petitions must be turned in to the Chicot County Clerk in Lake Village by August 07, 2024.

ATTENTION EUDORA CITIZENS AND WHOMEVER ELSE IT MAY CONCERN:

I, NaTarsha Harris, am resigning as the City's Clerk-Treasurer, as of August 01, 2024. I have learned a lot and truly appreciate all of the experience that I have gained while doing my best to serve my City/community. Please choose a replacement wisely because the public information available and provided to you depends on it. And never forget that, as the People (citizens), you have the final say in the type of City you live in.

For Future Reference: Any ordinance (local law) passed by the Council can be rejected by the People (citizens) and it must then go up for a vote.

For Future Reference: If you don't like how the mayor or Council is conducting business, take your power back and remove them. If you, a family member, or friend got fired by the Mayor or Council unfairly, received unfair treatment for any reason, don't believe the mayor and/or Council (that you put in office) are representing you right or working on your behalf, then put them out of office with a recall. The PEOPLE (citizens) are the boss; you hire and fire at will, as a majority. You don't have to wait until November elections. When you get tired and they refuse to act right on your behalf, then fire them at will and replace them with better. ELECTIONS ARE COMING UP!

Eudora, Arkansas citizens, it's time to pick up petitions for the Council seats and City Clerk-Treasurer position. Filings start on July 31, 2024 and end on August 7, 2024 at 12 p.m. As you may know, all petitions can be picked up at the Lake Village courthouse.

If you really want the change that you say you do, then change your Council. The local laws, policies, and management of City funds are controlled by the Council. Some of the issues that you have with the Mayor and the assistant to the Mayor are controlled by the Council.

Become a Councilmember or choose your Councilmembers wisely by electing people within your communities that care about you and how their decisions affect you. As a citizen the power is yours; you decide what type of city you want to live in.
