👀 Real Househusbands of Towson: Council Edition — Today’s Work Session
There is a LOT on the Council’s plate, and some of it directly affects the Eastside.
🏢 DATA CENTERS: Bill 79-26 would extend the temporary suspension on data-center permitting through December 31, 2027. (Advice of 7 out of 9 Democratic Council Nominees)
🚛 MIDDLE RIVER DEVELOPMENT: Bill 88-26 proposes stronger public-notice requirements for certain warehouse projects over 50,000 square feet and calls for a broader review of the County’s development-exemption process.
🚰 MIDDLE RIVER SEWER: Resolution 28-26 concerns an extension of the sanitary sewer system in the Middle River area. Is this the public benefit of the EcoPark?
🚆 LUTHERVILLE STATION: Resolution 30-26 supports a State Transit-Oriented Development designation for the proposed project near the Light Rail station. The current concept includes 325 apartments and approximately 120,000 square feet of commercial space.
🔎 INSPECTOR GENERAL: Bill 78-26 would clarify language concerning the Office of Inspector General, including its ability to issue public reports.
Be informed. Be engaged. Be heard.
