Print of Kratz's Mill Covered Bridge over the Tohickon Creek between Bedminster and Tinicum. Built 1848, demolished in 1930.

"The original bridge, constructed at the site formerly known as Reading's Ferry, was opened to traffic in the spring of 1814."

"The piers and abutments, originally constructed in 1814 from random ashlar masonry, are stone-filled and rest upon crib foundations. In 1926 portions of the piers were encased with reinforced concrete."

"The Lumberville covered bridge, with four spans crossing the river and another crossing the Pennsylvania Canal, was a wooden covered type, engineered by Solon Chapin of Easton, Pennsylvania and a partner, Anthony Fry. The bridge was built by the Lumberville Delaware River Bridge Company and completed in 1856."
