Ever wonder what it's really like to be a Millcreek firefighter? JET/FOX/YourErie anchor JADE LEAH BURNS Jet24 / Fox66 / Yourerie found out firsthand, and she didn't take the easy road!

She clocked in with our crew at West Lake Fire Station 48, ran through full gear checks, suited up in turnout gear, trained on the hose line with Captain Matt Flak at West Ridge Station 47, and climbed three stories up a ladder. Oh, and she did it in 40 seconds flat. 👏

We're proud of the work our firefighters put in every single day, and even prouder when our community gets to see it up close. Training exercises are essential for our firefighters to be prepared for real-life scenarios.

In the month of May, we took our firefighters to Zuck Park to conduct SCBA, (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) training.

The purpose of this course is to train our team to enhance their senses and communication with one another, while their vision is obstructed.

Engine 925’s crew ended with a record 9:25 course time… coincidence? We think not!🚒
