The Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will be at Glade Creek Volunteer Fire Department tomorrow morning beginning at 9:00 AM.

🔥 HEADS UP: High Fire Danger has returned to most of the state, a result of abnormally dry fuel conditions further exacerbated by high temperatures low relative humidity, and gusty SW winds of 10-25MPH, resulting in high fire danger across most of North Carolina! This will continue this afternoon and into Sunday.

Fire fuels could easily ignite and spread rapidly in these conditions. Residents and visitors to the area are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate containers. Exercise caution if operating any equipment that could create sparks, and keep vehicles off dry leaves and grass.

GCVFD out at Glade Creek School today for water day! We do swallow our pride and say we did indeed loose the water gun fight!!!

Glade Creek VFD and Cherry Lane Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. spent the evening at Glade Creek School Learning the building and planning incase there is ever a fire in the building. We would like to give a big thank you to Cherry Lane for attending and to Glade Creek School for having us.

Second harvest food bank will be back at the firehouse Monday morning June 1st at 9am with food for 100 families!!! Anyone needing food or if you know of someone come on out!!!
