Mark Remmert is running for Kansas House District 13 to bring steady incomes, quality schools, and healthy families to our rural communities

Last week I filed to run for State Representative in District 13. Chase, Greenwood, SW Lyon, Wilson, Woodson counties.

I'm running because too many rural Kansas families are working hard and still struggling just to get by. Nearly 40% of rural Kansans cannot afford basic household necessities — rent or mortgages, groceries, transportation, insurance, healthcare, and utilities — even though they are employed.

For almost half of rural Kansans, things many families considered achievable — a reliable new car, a family vacation, college savings, or affordable health insurance — are simply out of reach. Kansas can do better.

We need more good-paying jobs, more support for new businesses, better access to healthcare, and strong funding for schools that deliver high-quality education.

When rural communities thrive, Kansas thrives.
