Last night we had the opportunity to further work with our partners from Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Skills were practiced and knowledge was imparted, and stories from experience were shared by all.

Last night, five dedicated members of our CERT Basic Academy Winter 2026 cohort successfully completed their final practicum at the beautiful Ellensburg Downtown Association office.

A huge thank you to Teresa Chanes, EDA Director, for graciously allowing us to use this fantastic facility for our training.

During the exercise, the team handled a full scenario including:
- Seismic building damage assessment
- Safety issue identification
- Team dynamics & communication
- Disaster medical operations
- Light search & rescue
- Disaster psychology support
