Spending time with this furry friend reminded me just how much heart there is in Precinct 1—and how vital organizations like BARC are to our community. 🐾

BARC’s commitment to caring for vulnerable animals reflects the same values I hold as I run for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1: responsibility, compassion, and service to those who depend on us.

My campaign is about highlighting the people and organizations that make our community stronger. BARC is a perfect example, showing every day what it means to serve with integrity and dedication.

I’m thankful for every opportunity to connect with the incredible work happening across Precinct 1—through public service, local programs, and the small moments that remind us why community matters.

Serving our kids today shapes the community we become tomorrow.
While working with students, Mike Hoyt is reminded daily that leadership isn’t just about decisions made in the moment — it’s about the impact we leave on the next generation.

With years of service in law enforcement and school safety, I have seen firsthand how guidance, encouragement, and accountability can help young people grow into strong, responsible adults.

As I continue my campaign for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, I remain committed to building a future where every child in our community feels safe, supported, and valued.
Strong leadership today creates stronger generations tomorrow.

After retiring from the Dallas Police Department, moving back to Elkhart—my wife’s hometown—truly felt like coming home.

This community has always been special to us, and returning has been a reminder of the people, values, and traditions that make East Texas such a meaningful place to live.

Being involved locally—through church, schools, community programs, or simply lending a hand—shows me every day how resilient and caring our small towns are. Elkhart and the surrounding areas are full of people who look out for one another, and I’m grateful to be part of that.

Community isn’t just where you live.
It’s where you serve, grow, and belong.
