🚧 HAN3-6 fiber zones are officially moving into the Construction Phase! Crews are anticipated to begin work on October 1, 2026.

Over the next few months, you’ll see construction crews working throughout the village as we build the high-capacity mainline fiber network, install the fiber drop that will connect to your home or business, and fusion splice and test the fiber connections. We will notify you when your location is ready for installation!

Please use extra caution around construction areas and give our crews plenty of room to work. We appreciate your patience as we build this new infrastructure throughout the village.

What an incredible event celebrating a milestone years in the making!

JCE Co-op was proud to recognize 16 communities and three counties during our Connected Communities Celebration at Chestnut Mountain Resort—bringing together community leaders and local, state, and national partners who helped make the expansion of 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 across northwest Illinois possible.

We’re incredibly thankful for the community leaders, partners, employees, and supporters who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life.

More than 80 years ago, the cooperative model brought electricity to places others wouldn't serve. Today, we're carrying that same mission forward with fiber internet service.

OUTAGE UPDATE – POWER RESTORED

Our transmission provider has informed us that repairs have been completed and power has been restored.

If you are still without power, please call 1-800-858-5522 to report your outage.

We sincerely apologize for the length of this outage and understand how frustrating it has been for our members. Because the damage and repairs were on the transmission system, the restoration work was handled by our transmission provider. As a result, the timing and frequency of our updates were dependent on the information they were able to provide to us.

We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this extended outage.

We have received an updated estimated restoration time from our transmission provider. At this time, power is expected to be restored at approximately 11:00 a.m.

We know this has been a long outage, and we understand the frustration of being without power — especially when there are limited updates to share.

Because the damage and repairs are on the transmission system, the repairs are being handled by our transmission provider rather than JCE Co-op crews. This also means we are dependent on the transmission provider for information regarding repair progress and estimated restoration times.

We are in communication with them and will share new information with you as soon as it is provided to us.

We are aware of a short but widespread fiber outage that affected members across our service territory this morning. Service should now be restored for our fiber members.

If your service has not been restored, please send us a private Facebook message so our team can document and monitor the issue.

Our office phone system is still experiencing issues, so Facebook Messenger is currently the best way to reach us regarding any remaining fiber service concerns.
