Hey hey, playwrights! Check out this amazing opportunity to have your work produced in Elgin!
point2point productions / Students On Stage (a division of Schaumburg On Stage) has been awarded a combination of grants from the Elgin Arts Commission and The Lodge Foundation to support the production of a new theatrical work for the Elgin community in 2026.
We are currently accepting submissions of completed theatrical works for consideration. Submitted works should be fully written and ready for review. The piece does not need to have been previously produced, but it should not be an idea, outline, partial draft, or work still in early development.
We welcome completed plays, musicals, adaptations, ensemble-created/devised works, theatre for young audiences, and other live theatrical formats. Selected work(s) will receive production support, performance opportunities and artist compensation. The selected piece will be produced in October 2026. Selected work(s) may receive production support, performance opportunities, and artist compensation.
Submissions are due no later than July 15th. Finalists will be selected on or before August 3rd and will be asked to make a presentation before The Lodge Foundation Board. The winning production will be announced shortly thereafter.
