WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🫡🇺🇸

Today, the 1st Armored Division joined the El Paso community at University of Texas at El Paso Sun Bowl for the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Hosted by the UTEP ROTC Program to honor the 2,977 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and the first responders who ran toward danger when our nation needed them most.

Maj. Gen. Curtis D. Taylor, commanding general of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss, reminded those gathered that remembrance is not only about looking back, it is about ensuring future generations understand the courage, sacrifice and unity displayed that day.

“Heroes are not defined by the dangers they face, they are defined by the direction they move when danger comes,” said Maj. Gen. Taylor.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the fallen, honor those who answered the call to serve and stand together in the promise that we will never forget.
