Big appreciation to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office for hosting us for training days in the last few weeks. We spent valuable time diving into what it truly looks like to support survivors—together. Our team shared updates on shelter services, advocacy programs, and trauma-informed approaches, while also learning more about the challenges deputies face in the field.
These conversations matter. When advocates and law enforcement work side by side, survivors experience safer responses, clearer pathways to resources, and a community that shows up for them.
We’re grateful for the partnership, the thoughtful questions, and the shared commitment to doing what’s best for those we serve.

Some people bring energy into a room with volume. Erin brings it with presence.
This creative soul is the kind of person who shows up with a quick smile and a heart that gives generously without ever asking for attention. She’s reliable, funny in the most unexpected ways, and gracious in every interaction.
By day, she’s crafting, crocheting, and creating little bits of magic. By night—quite literally—she’s one of our dedicated Shelter Overnight Advocates, offering calm, compassionate support when survivors need it most. Erin’s quiet strength, her no judgment encouragement, and her deeply caring nature make her a grounding presence for both survivors and staff.
She spreads joy without trying, leads with kindness, and reminds us that introverts often shine the brightest in the moments that matter.
