On Jan 9, NJ District 2 Assemblywoman Maureen Rowan visited Washington Avenue School to see our R.A.I.S.E. Hip Hop residency in action. From original choreography to building teamwork, these students are proving that the arts are essential for success!

Supported by the U.S. Dept of Ed and featured on WHYY, this program builds self-confidence through culturally responsive learning. Thank you, Assemblywoman Rowan, for being a champion for NJ students! 👏🎭
