Illinois’ WIC processor is currently down statewide. Your WIC card will not work at any store throughout the state. The state of Illinois is actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Your WIC agency is not able to help with this issue. Updates will be posted on the IDHS website. Thank you for your patience.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten, and we are forever grateful for the lives they gave in service to our country.

As you enjoy cookouts, sunshine, family time, and maybe a little extra dessert this weekend 🍔🌭☀️, we hope you’ll also take a quiet moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Please note that both Family Resource Center offices will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th, in observance of the holiday. We will reopen and resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓🎉

Whether you are graduating from preschool, middle school, high school, college, completing a postgraduate program, or earning your GED, this moment matters. Every path looks different, but every one of them takes effort, persistence, and courage, and you have made it here. 👏
Some of you are stepping into brand new classrooms with bigger backpacks and even bigger curiosity 🎒📚 Some are walking across college stages after years of late nights, early mornings, and everything in between 🌙☀️ Some are celebrating advanced degrees that reflect deep focus and discipline 🧠🎓 And some are proving something just as powerful by finishing your GED, showing that determination does not follow a single timeline 💪
No matter the stage, this is a milestone worth pausing for. Not because it is the end, but because it is a marker of growth, of what you have learned, how you have changed, and what you have overcome to get here 🌱
