County Call to Action: Tuesday, June 2, the Council votes on Bill 26-009, the Charter Amendment that will eliminate multitudes of candidates from running or serving on the Council. You can 1) Let your council person know you oppose this drastic measure. 2) Attend the council legislative meeting to show your support for Jacob and opposition to the bill. (T-shirts available to purchase $15)

Write to your council member! Do not let this go to a vote as we k is how they write these in confusing language that we don’t know what you’re voting for when you get to the polls!

This view is exactly what’s at stake.

I have been hearing from many concerned residents about the Chrome Hill Solar Facility proposed on 44 acres of prime farmland in Jarrettsville. The application is currently under review by the Maryland Public Service Commission.

Rolling farmland, open space, and the rural character that make Harford County special could soon be replaced by an industrial-scale solar facility. Once this land is gone, it’s gone for good.

Our local government has spoken out against this project, and this past week the County Council submitted a formal letter of opposition to the Public Service Commission.

But we as residents of Harford County have the opportunity to do more. And more is needed.

If you believe we should protect our agricultural land and preserve Harford County’s rural communities, please take a moment to file a public comment with the Public Service Commission opposing this project.

Your voice matters, and public comments can make a real difference in the outcome of this review.

Step-by-step instructions and information for submitting a comment can be found here: https://sams-solar-farm.com/ -comment

Please share this post so more residents have the opportunity to speak up.
