Friends, meet Fred Rist. Fred is a woodworker and humanitarian. Originally from South Dakota, he has lived in Alma, WI for many years. Fred has been one of our main tool benefactors, essentially donating his entire shop to us. He has a couple projects to finish up, but is retiring from woodworking soon. We want to be sure to highlight his gorgeous furniture made for his friends, family, and local nonprofits, as well as his generosity to the Tool Library. He is also willing to teach a class or two in the near future. Thank you, Fred!

We had one brave soul come out tonight to donate a couple drills. Now, in fairness, when I used my last wish on a down-pour today, I thought that would drive everyone into our sweet embrace. That's my bad. The silver lining (because clouds)? I had some time to hang up our donated clamps. Words cannot describe the satisfaction. See you Friday?

Heyo! Putting out our first official call for volunteers. "CVTL is looking for the organized and helpful-type to serve prospective and existing Members by checking tools in and out, taking inventory, and offering tours as needed during open hours."

How was our opening day? Glad you asked. Some friends stopped by. Some signed up for membership. Had some tool donations. Overall, very happy with the turnout. Looking forward to many more. Like, for example, tomorrow 10 AM to 2 PM. Be there or be without right angles. See what I did there? Just a little Tool Library humor. Anyway, I'm gonna get out of here. See you tomorrow!
