Our meetings are typically on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month at a TBD local bar/restaurant starting at 5:30pm for 30 min of arrivals/gathering a

nd ordering food/drinks with conversation, followed by about an hour for a speaker presentation or round table at 6pm, ending with free form conversation and social time.
5:30 - 6:00 gather and place dinner orders
6:00 - 6:15 CVITP organization business
6:15 - 7:00 speaker presentation, Q&A
7:00 - ?? dinner, discussion, social hour

Past and future locations include: Chippewa Valley Airport, Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, Dooley's Pub, etc. Special Events: Technology Summits (Conference), Picnics, Volunteerism
CVITP is just starting to plan and host mini conferences for IT professionals in the area, with the first being held on Oct 29, 2013 and more planned for the future. The day of the week, duration and location will vary as a result. On occasion the group may also have a meeting in the form of a picnic in the summer and has been active in various volunteer efforts as well. Membership

Pure Storage is sponsoring an informal growler fill event August 29th starting at 4:00 PM at Growler Guys in Eau Claire. NOTICE - The CDW night with Express event is still being planned, but a date has not yet been selected. There was past discussion of it being this week, but a game night has not yet been selected. More will be released as it is confirmed, possibly a week night in July.

Apr 19, 2017 Meeting Notice - ​CVITP Member Lightning Talks deferred. Instead, Scott Funk of GFS will share their recent experience in hyper convergence and show some of the performance data they are getting out of it running SQL and Oracle work loads. He will share details of this new environment and share some of the findings, plus discuss/show SolarWinds DPA to monitor the performance of the VM's and queries and will look in at some of those screens. Held at Lazy Monk Brewing, gather around 5:30, meeting starts at 6pm. REMINDER - since Lazy Monk does not yet serve their own food (other than Landjaeger sausage), provided we clean up after ourselves, food may be brought in during the meeting if you wish to eat there.
