Mid Shore Behavioral Health hosts nine different community workgroups through our Behavioral Health Services Network (BHSN).

Mental health, substance use support, and behavioral health and wellness affect all of us. These meetings are open to the public because we want to hear from everyone - providers, individuals, family members, and advocates.

These specialized groups meet regularly to focus on specific needs in our community:

👥 Adult Services
👧 Children, Adolescents, & Young Adults
🚨 Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
🧩 Autism Workgroup
⚖️ Forensic Mental Health
🏠 Roundtable on Homelessness
🌱 Mid-Shore Peer Workgroup
🗣️ The People's Roundtable

The general BHSN network meets quarterly to align these efforts on a federal, state, and local level.

Are you interested in helping to build a better network of care in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot counties? Find the meeting schedules and contact details to join an upcoming session.

Starting conversations about mental health doesn’t require having all the answers. Sometimes, simply asking “How are you really doing?” or sharing your own experiences can help create space for honesty, connection, and support.

Approaching these conversations with kindness, empathy, and respect can make all the difference. You never know when someone may need it.
